Student Accessibility Services

The mission of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is to empower the Brown University community to provide an equitable, inclusive, and accessible environment in academic and co-curricular services and activities.

Accessibility is an important part of Brown’s commitment to inclusive learning and campus participation. Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works with students, faculty, and campus partners to coordinate reasonable accommodations and reduce barriers across Brown’s academic, residential, dining, and campus environments.

Use this page to explore accommodation types and support services, find the instructions that apply to your needs, and learn how to request support through Accommodate.

Introducing Accommodate!

Accommodate is a new software platform for students with disabilities to request accommodations, simplifying the process and providing a more streamlined experience for students, faculty, and staff.

This reporting tool is intended for members of the Brown community to submit concerns related to accessibility. Submissions help the University identify and address barriers to access.
